Nala (fawn) and Holland share secrets on how to live life after two weeks in the herd. They are half -sisters born on the same evening. Holland's (born at 6 pm) dam Lady Sura (being a first time mom) did not want to let her nurse in the first hours of her life so we needed to check on her throughout the night. Lo and behold at 2 am we went out to check on her and there was Nala being born. After much pulling, warming up and 2 plasma transfusions Nala needed to be bottle fed for approximately 7 weeks. |
