1) Samara's Hemiaccoyo Sonnet - (3/4 Accoyo ) - $35,000 (Cria due 8/29/09)
DOB - 8/21/2002 - White (Sara's Samara x Peruvian Hemingway)
Sonnet is one of the finest fibered alpacas we have seen and comes from the excellent producing Samara. Her genetics of PPeruvian Victor and Hemingway will continue to produce many unique quality alpacas for years to come. Another female to add as a foundation producer for your herd. She was bred to Valedara's Hemiaccoyo Calisto in 2007 and produced a very handsome male named Trinidad in August 2008. Calisto is one of the last of the famous Caligula males available in the U.S.. Calisto's fiber is wonderful and he has passed this along to Sonnet's 2008 cria. Why mess with success? Sonnet's fiber is dense, with great luster and is very fine . She also has a very nice staple length. Her 2006 histogram was 20.4 micron.
This year she is bred to Eastwind's Snowstorm (limited breedings are available to this Elite AOBA Champion for $5,000) and is scheduled to have her cria end of August 2009. Thsi should be one very nice cria.
2) AFR'S France - $15,000 (Cria due 7/10/2009)
DOB - 6/2/2005 - White (AFR'S Holland x Victor's Valedar)
France is one of my best crias from 2005 and has developed into a very beautiful maiden. She is bred to Valedara's Hemiaccoyo Calisto and this combination of genetics will surely produce a top quality cria. She is conformationally excellent and has very good bone mass. Her fiber is VERY fine and dense with wonderful crimp. She should easily become one of your top tier producers. She will definitely NOT last very long on this sales list.
3) AFR'S Austria - $12,000 (Cria due 9/4/2009)
DOB - 9/19/2005 - White (AFR'S Onalaska x Victor's Valedar)
Austria is very much like France in conformation and overall quality level. She is a very mild mannered maiden that should produce top quality crias for you. She was bred to my award winning Hemingway's Hemiaccoyo Samson for an earlySept./2009 cria. Her fiber is also very fine and dense with wonderful handle. She should give birth to a quality cria. She could easily become one of your foundation females.Time will tell.
4) Forest Ladies Morel - - $12,000 (1/2 Accoyo) (Cria due 7/3/2009)
DOB - 7/8/2005 - Beige (Colorette D095 ALOA x Samara's Accoyo Samurai)
Morel is an example of Colorette's expertise in producing quality offspring. Morel is very fine fibered and has a great disposition and should produce color for you since her dam and sire are of color. She is Bred to Victor's Hemiaccoyo Viking so a cria of color is possible. Viking has a number of quality crias on the ground and is producing lt. fawn out of white dams. His crias have been excellent. Please check the following for pictures. http://web.mac.com/pacaguy. Morel's dam is med/dark fawn. Come see and touch her. Her first cria this year named Yukon is a lt fawn/white mix and has wonderful fiber. His sire is Forest Ladies Orca . She is a great milker and wonderful mother. Check Yukon out to see what she produces.
5) AFR’S Colombia - $12,000 - (Cria due 6/15/2009)
DOB 10/12/98 – White (PPeruvian Celandine x PPeruvian Guido aka Glacier)
Full Peruvian w/crimpy dense fiber, good bone mass and conformation. Excellent proven mother. Her crias grow very quickly and mature at an early age. She is bred to Hemingway's Hemiaccoyo Samson and is due mid June 2009. Samson's first cria on the ground is a girl named Libya and is quite spectacular. Very fine , crimpy fleece with great structure. Certainly an elite fleece. She is a very mild natured girl. Colombia should produce just as well with Samson.
6) AFR’S Nigeria - $15,000 - (Cria due 8/18/2009)
DOB 9/4/94 – True Black (PC Cocoa x Cisco Kid)
Excellent proven mother that has always produced black with a black sire. She was bred back to Forest Ladies Orca and should produce another dark fawn wonderfully fibered cria just like she did this year with Kiribati She has always taken with 1 breeding and at her age of 14 plus that is an excellent attribute. She has great personality with wonderful conformation. She will be very hard to part with as she was our very first birth back in 1994. She will undoubtedly produce a black or another very dark fawn out of Orca. He has produced black with black dams in the past.
7) Sleeping Lady's Haida - $10,000 - (Cria due 8/27/2009)
DOB 9/28/01 - Dark Fawn (Colorette ALOA x AFR'S Hong Kong -1/2 ACCOYO/Full Peruvian)
Good bone structure with a very nice disposition. She produced a very nice beige cria named Icey Bay in 2006 from her breeding to Sonora's Accoyo Ferrari . She was bred to Forest Ladies Orca in 2007 and birthed a very nice medium fawn female cria named Nome. She is a large girl with very nice presence that she has passes on to her offspring. This year she is bred to Eastwind's Snowstorm (limited breedings are available to this Elite AOBA Champion for $5,000) and is scheduled to have her cria end of August 2009. This should be one very nice cria and it may be of color since Snowstorm has a reputation for producing the color of the dam.
8) AFR’S Onalaska - $12,000 - (Cria due 6/15/2009)
DOB 9/20/97 – White (PPeruvian Celandine x PPeruvian Javier )
Full Peruvian w/dense fine fiber/great disposition – proven mother of 8 females and 1 male.
Onalaska was bred to Hemingway's Hemiaccoyo Samson and produced a wonderful female cria named Libya. Her fiber is to die for and has all the positive attributes of the infamous Hemingway. Very crmipy, soft and fine with great density. It was his VERY first breeding and she took on the one breeding. Samson's fiber is just luscious. Onalaska has been one of our best producers and is very mild mannered and easy to handle. Her sire PPeruvian Javier went to Canada in the mid 1990's so his progeny in the U.S. are limited. He is well known in Canada and was originally purchased from me by Maggie Krieger....one of the most experienced alpaca judges in N. America. Since then she was sold to High Plains Alpacas and has continued to produce wonderful offspring. This year we bred her to Valedara's Hemiaccoyo Calisto , our excellent producing Caligula son. ALL of his crias have been of very good quality.....regardless of the quality of the dam, the mark of a VERY GOOD Herdsire!
9) Colorette ALOA - $8,000 - (Cria due 7/3/2009)
DOB 8/30/1993 - Dark Fawn (Painted Lady PC x Powerline)
Well dispositioned, proven mother, excellent milker who
throws color. Good conformation with very nice handle to her fiber. You will not need to
attend to any of her births. She is bred back to Valedara's
Hemiaccoyo Calisto and could very well produce color again from this wonderful Caligula
son. Only time will tell. Her female cria this year is named Tundra and is a multi that should definitely win ribbons. Although
she is older she is a very good value for production with the right herd sire.
She is very healthy and should produce trouble free for at least another 3-5
years! She would be a great production girl for a new breeder in that she is VERY reliable with birthing and raising her crias.
10) PPPeruvian Lady Sura - $10,000 - (Cria due 8/19/2009)
DOB 1993 - Import in 1994 so lineage unknown
Sura is our last import on the ranch and has consistently thrown very nice crias throughout the years. Many on our ranch are related to her. She is still in excellent shape. We give her a years break so her health is not compromised. She is a very sweet girl and has very dense fiber...even to this day. She is bred to Valedara's Hemiaccoyo Calisto and will produce an excellent cria. Come check her out for yourself.
